Welcome to the historic vehicle collection
The museum is Denmark’s largest collection of armoured vehicles, artillery and other effects related to the development of armoured and artillery weapons in the Danish defense. The armoured vehicles have all been in use in the Danish army in the period from 1945 until ‘today’.
The tank exhibition contains a copy of all the tanks that have served in the Danish army since 1945, however, there may be periods when a few vehicles are away from the exhibition due to workshop visits.
In addition to tanks, the museum contains many other armoured wheeled and tracked vehicles, and as something new – now also self-propelled artillery.
We also exhibit; a number of non-armoured wheeled vehicles, all of which have been used in the armoured units, and some uniforms and other objects are also on display.
There is a certain replacement of the exhibited vehicles throughout the year, this by the arrival of newly restored vehicles, the arrival of phased-out vehicles, departure of vehicles that need to be repaired and rotation of vehicles from our storage areas, unfortunately there is not room for all our vehicles on the museum at the same time.
Most of our vehicles are maintained in running order. A few are only static display, due to the condition of the vehicle.
On the following pages, we review some of our most iconic vehicles.
